How To Bring People Into Your Business vs. Chasing Them

You're getting started creating a powerful, content packed, value filled, money making blog...

There are some things to consider, when using your blog for brand positioning + profit potential.

Blogging is my 2nd favorite method for drawing new clients + audiences into my business daily.

Obvi, the first is Instagram - which I use to direct people to the blog.

Then I go a step further, and use the blog to do the opposite - draw people in to me.

That's the magical part.

Creating valuable content that will essentially bring people into my business daily.

I'm going to teach you exactly how I do this successfully, to reach hundreds of thousands weekly.

These people purchase my ebooks, courses, and coaching - and they become members of my private communities.

If you're wanting to build communities + sell your products, then this is perfect for you!

Let's get started...

For each post, you're going to consider some main elements to begin.

First, there's the point or goal for that post.

Each one of your blog posts should have a specific goal in mind; and by goal, I mean sale😆

Most go about this incorrectly.

Your sell doesn't need to be listed there on the page.

In fact, you don't ever need to talk about the product.

You're going to focus on the story.

So your first goal is to think about the product you have.

Then, understand that each person coming into your brand has a desire to resonate with the message they feel is for them before ever wanting to think that you're selling them something.

In fact, most lose the opportunity for people to choose you, because you're forcing yourself on them initially.

So relax, you've got this.

And you have what they need, want, + desire...

So tell your story.

The story that will show them exactly why your product is the solution. Make sense?

For example...

You're selling your ebook on How To Skyrocket Your Success...

The story behind this connects to the person who needs or wants to be successful. No brainer!

But let's look deeper into this exact person

✅ Pointer one would be: What types of things that person has struggled with that's keeping them from being successful.

✅ Pointer 2: How you have also (or a customer - pick one "hero" to focus on...struggled with that thing. Something that made them feel they just weren't going to make it through.

✅ Pointer 3: How your book gave them (get very specific) just what they needed to move from drab to fab...

✅ Pointer 4: And then share how they are FEELING now that they've been skyrocketed to success...thanks to YOU

That's a full, whole, complete blog content post✍🏽

Opening, main pointers, then the transformation of the zero to the hero!

For today, I just want you to take a look at the blog posts you already have up (if any) and see how you can make them better!

Start going through to be sure that each one has a specific goal in mind.

If you don't have a blog yet, just as well.

Begin thinking about your products and exactly what these elements break down into for each one.

Attracting new customers is one of the biggest struggles new brands face.

With so many emerging businesses, it's not enough to offer a pop-up with a sale as a means to get that visitor the first time.

People want to form their options first.

They want to investigate more into who you are and make comparisons with your competitors. Giving value first to the customer offers a unique experience for the visitor.

That is; instead of requesting that they sign up on your email by offering a discount, offer the visitor something of value. That can include options like a look book of your latest styles, a how to list, or a quick tutorial in exchange for their email.

This way, you get the opportunity to build a rapport with new potential customers as you begin making offers in line with their need, want, and desire. Combine value & offer emails that identify a specific issue or pain point. Show them that there is a solution for it.

And inform them that you are the solution.

Pain points apply to every business model. If your visitor is shopping for clothing, they don't have anything to wear. Makeup? They're seeking beauty & transformation. Real estate? They want to put down roots. Accessories? They want to be fashion forward.

Deliver value first.

This strategy is a win for the business because you know that the customer is seeking that exact solution from you.

It's a win for the customer because they've received value that verifies the brand is right for them.

You show them how you are knowledgeable, valuable, and trustworthy as a brand.

Think about how you can apply this to your own business.

When You Feel Like Giving Up...

I know how tough it can be...

Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. It is daily, ongoing work that does not wait for you to feel better, get things done, or get inspired.

It's easy to feel like maybe this isn't for you...

Or you're not good enough...

I've been there before, and that's not it at all.

It usually comes down to one major thing for most businesses.

That's planning.

Are you going in the right direction?

There are a few things you can do to stop and check now to see if your goals are in line with your destination. And get into the right planning behaviors.

First; make sure that you have the right intentions.

Money is great, purpose is so much better! I make lots of money with PoshLifeBling each month. But it used to take every single second of my day to do that. That's because my focus and intentions were set on making money alone.

That will wear you out, real quick. There has to be more...

Check your goals and intentions behind them. Money cannot be the sole focus, because it comes and it goes.

Is your purpose aligned with your drive? Would you be doing what you're doing if you were not getting paid for it?

I mean, I want you getting paid, let's be clear... but that's how you know when you're on the right path...

Next, don't look at ALL, or the whole of everything you need to get done.

Fastest way to send yourself into a raging panic is to think about what all you need to do.

Instead, plan your days out with 5 small tasks to get done, so that by week's end you can cheer yourself on and feel accomplished - for hitting all the small goals that'll lead to the big one's. Because guess what...

Every single day, there's something to be done, forever in your business. It's best to pace yourself and create daily goals that you can feel excited about, instead of trying to cram a million things into it, and accomplishing few, if any...

Stop putting your focus on that huge, seemingly ever unattainable big goal...

and start focusing more on that daily building.

That's where the magic is.

Then, believe and know that there are people in the world who need what you have to give them. They need your advice, expertise & experience - and your triumph to inspire them to keep going.

Believe that.

Finally, don't ever stop putting in the work.

Each day, you'll have to give some committed, dedicated time to your dreams.

You'll have to knock out to-do lists, one step at a time.

Celebrate each win. That's where Success will meet you.

How To Get More Followers On Instagram

One of the problems that I see with brands, having such a huge community myself, is that they are trying to do far too much at once.

I cannot stress this enough.

Your visitors spend all day getting offers from companies when all they want to do is check their Instagram feed, chat it up with their fam, or add the newest, cutest selfie to their timeline!

Businesses (maybe this is you) spend hours creating sales funnels for a product they don’t know that anyone wants. They create prices truly out of thin air and offer them to audiences that they have not won over yet.

And they make too many offers at a time to those audiences, which can be confusing and quite overwhelming. Brand & community building takes time and daily commitment…

I consider myself a business hacker.

Because when I see a new process that a brand implements, I want to understand how that process works to the core. There’s no such thing as a simple purchase in my mind.

I understand that the customer has gone through a complete process of thought before they decided to make that purchase.

This is why brands (especially new ones) so often fail at launch and barely make it off the ground. Because so many emerging brands lead with the sale.

They don’t think about the process that a customer goes through - that they actually go through themselves - when deciding on a new product or a new brand.

My hacking extends to my customer base.

I put myself into their shoes for every product, and think about what a brand would have to do to secure my business in that area, and then I work from that place of intent up to the sales offer.

The customer goes through an intense thought process when they meet your brand for the first time. And as you build that relationship with them, the intensity and familiarity grows. But that doesn’t mean that you get to stop there. The buy is truly the beginning if you’re looking for ongoing brand loyalty with that customer.

How To Get More Followers On Instagram

So here are 5 things that I’ve done this year and a half to grow an immense, engaged community of 500k!

PGC Business Planner/Organizer

PGC Business Planner/Organizer

  1. Everything we do here daily @ThePoshGirlsClub is Value-Centered. It’s not about just getting people into our groups or products to make a sale. If you come and buy once and the product wasn’t a good fit or what you were searching for, then we lose. Because you never come back to get the right one that we know we have for you. So we lead with value first to get you into the right place. That is, Free Challenges for Coaches, Influencers, Business & Brand Building…whatever you need we have something available in our Resources to get you in the right place.

  2. The next thing I did was Watch and Listen. The cost to acquire a new person is so much (7 x’s) higher than taking care of the ones you already have. So when a new customer comes in, their behaviors tell me what they need & want from me, and how I can help them to that process. If I lose someone in the process, I can check the analytics to understand why. Analytics are your best friend in your business so spend the time to understand how your customers are moving in your brand, and you can draw more of them to your brand.

  3. Over-deliver. Once the visitor becomes a customer, I over-deliver. Because this leads to brand loyalty. And when someone is loyal to your brand, they want everyone to know it’s out there. They can’t stop gushing over you and they will always show up. This brings more people to you every single day, organically! You cannot buy that.

4. Be strategic with what & how much you offer. Too many sales funnels at a time confuse the buyer; especially if they’re anew buyer. They can want it all or get distracted very easily. So focusing on a single message, product, or even service at once makes all the difference. As long as the brand has an overall message, delivered through multiple products with one as the complete focus at a time, the brand wins. When the brand tries to cover multiple products at once, they lose. Imagine if Apple released all of their iPhone versions at once... they lose. But they release one just about every year, and sell it over and over. They focus on the audience & community as they develop those new products. Multiplied by every other product - including ipad, iMac, etc. Be strategic.

5. Be Authentic. I can’t stress enough this point. I spent this year growing @ThePoshGirlsClub to nearly 500k (on trac to reach that point by end of year based on analytics) because I spent the time to get to know my community…and let them get to know me. Not some perfected version of me. But the truest, most honest version of myself I could be. Vulnerable. Emotional. Silly. Imperfect. Many have come and gone in this year. But many have shown up, gotten involved in our community. They have invested in our Accelerators program. They’ve become valued members of our community and taken on leadership roles. The growth came from being the person I know best in the world, and having the courage to let others in on my journey…share it with them in the most honest way that I can, and then being there for that community through live streams, free courses, workshops, and of course The Socialite Society.

I’m launching a new challenge here with The #POSHGIRLS Team…we’ll be guiding you through the process to reach new audiences & actually grow your following. I’m sharing the exact processes in a FREE 5 Day Course to help you build the right audience, the right way.

What is Brand Identity, Anyway?

That is, a unique concept for your brand. Something that sets you apart from every other business on the market! I refer to this as your USP, or Unique Selling Proposition. All that means is that you are a unique entity, unlike any other out. Sure, there will be similarities between brands. But you don’t want an overlap, ever - where someone sees too much of another brand in you, or vice versa.

I always like to think from the perspective of "what are they missing? Who did they leave out or forget? And how do I fill that missing piece?”

That’s the starting point for how you’ll create your own Identify, unique & special…just like you!

Powered by Creative Market

Then, once you’ve got all that figured out…it’s about connecting a consistent visual appearance across all social media platforms that connect back to your place on the web; your website. Yes, Instagram is your new home page! It’'s the place where people are coming to most likely discover your business. But your website is that place where they’ll hang out with you, consume your content, read your blogs…etc.

It's the core of  what pulls in your target customer. And it's the lasting impression you leave on them...essentially "what people say about you when you're not in the room".

In my experience as a brand strategist, this is the step that many brands skip.

And so, they haven’t really gotten to the place where they can put themselves in the space of being a brand.

But rather, still just people online, randomly selling their products to make a buck here and there.

I’m guessing that’s not where you want to be, right?

Brand building takes thought, preparation, focus, and is mission & value focused.

It's what you want to leave in the world. Who you want to grow to become, and what legacy you want to leave behind.

That is what gets people opening their wallets & believing in you.

And if you understand this early on, you can sell products to your audience at every launch. Do you ever wonder how people achieve 6 and 7 figure launches?

Building a strong brand presence & targeted audience...That's how!

Let’s take Kim K. & her Kardashian/Jenner bunch…

It’s no matter whether you like her or hate her, she still commands attention using social media and makes a KILLING using Instagram & Snapchat to help make her millions! And Kylie has gone further, leveraging the same platforms to bring in BILLIONS!

Why? Because they built their following first. They got their Influence up to epic proportions, and now no matter what they put out, it sells out…usually within minutes.

They built a brand together, then took it a step further to create their own individual brands.

Have you thought about your Brand Identity?

Beyond the product you sell. Brands get partnerships with mega corporations based on their Identity. If you're an Influencer, your brand will get you partnerships over other Influencers. No matter what your industry is, you have to carve out a unique niche to be relevant!

We can help.

Grab our free brand identity workbook here, and start thinking about your mission, value, purpose. What will you represent…? And then, it’ll help walk you through what you want that to look like in the world.

If you think for a second that Kim K. didn’t have a clear idea of exactly what she wanted to do, you’re not looking deep enough into social media & influence. Back in the early 2000’s, I was working with Paris Hilton as she made “Influence” as a lifestyle “a thing”. She was so strategic in every appearance, post, video, tv show…and Kim saw the recipe - played it, and the result is over a decade of Kardashian Craze! Paris didn’t do so poorly herself, making BILLIONS on her own product lines over the same time - just leveraging her fame into other directions.

I use these two examples - not because you want to be the next Paris or Kim. K…but if you’re not thinking as big as these ladies were, why even do it? Whatever you do, whatever you stand for, & however you want to make an impact, make sure it’s big…huge.

Otherwise, don’t even bother.

Grab the Brand Identity workbook here & let us know what you think of the Influence of Kim. K., Paris, & Kylie…
